Christina Ferreira (Co-Founder/Host)
Christina brings over 14 year of experience in event management including planning, execution, marketing, public relations and sponsorship recruitment to Dîner en Blanc Okanagan. Christina is owner of Impact Events and Project Management Inc and is responsible for client recruitment, event production, marketing and public relations within her organization. Her years of event management have been focused on the travel and tourism industry in the Okanagan and British Columbia and has worked with many high profile clients including Big White Ski Resort Ltd, Tourism British Columbia, Okanagan Wine Festivals Society, Hotel Eldorado, Bottleneck Drive Winery Association and Festivals Kelowna to name just a few. She has also volunteered on the board of directors for many organizations including the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, Okanagan Chefs Association, Okanagan Roller Derby, and the Okanagan College Alumni Association. In her spare time she enjoys playing roller derby and spending time with her dog Grace.
Alison Love (Co-Founder/Host)
Alison is ‘head mixer' of a boutique marketing company, Spatula Media + Communications, specializing in the restaurant, food and wine industry in the Okanagan Valley. With over 30 years of marketing experience and 23 international and national marketing awards recognizing creativity, special event planning, branding and public relations strategy, Alison brings a wealth of diverse experience to the Diner en Blanc team. Spatula Media + Communications has worked with a number of high profile clients including RauDZ Regional Table, the Okanagan Chefs Association, Prestige Hotels & Resorts, FarmFolk CityFolk, Salted Brick, micro Bar & Bites, Jorin Wolf Interior Design, Delta Grand Okanagan and Codfathers Seafood Market. Alison also contributes her time and skills to community legacy events such as Flower Power Garden Tour and the Hot Holiday Homes Christmas Tour both raising funds for grassroots organizations. She is a member of the Okanagan Chefs Association and Les Dames d'Escoffier British Columbia. Alison and her husband, David McIlvride also produce socially conscious documentaries that have been recognized with Geminis, Emmys and film festival awards from around the world.
Jennifer Schell (Co-Founder)
Jennifer Schell is a popular food & wine columnist and Editor of B.C. Food & Wine Trails Magazine. Her recent, self-published cookbook, ‘The Butcher, The Baker, The Wine & Cheese Maker – An Okanagan Cookbook' is highly acclaimed and was recently awarded Gold for Best Regional Non-Fiction by Independent Publisher. In 2009, Jennifer founded WOW (Women on Wine), a wine paired lunch club of passionate food and wine industry leaders. In 2011 Jennifer was voted ‘Foodie of the Year' by the readers of EAT magazine and in 2012 was a founder in bringing the inaugural ‘White Dinner' – a prelude to the official Diner en Blanc to the Okanagan. Jennifer is the founding coordinator for the Soup Sisters/Broth Brothers Kelowna chapter and an active associate member of the Okanagan Chefs Association.
